1. Hello guys and welcome to Metal Prison – No Escape! After a very tough period for live shows, things seem to turn back to normal. What are your currently scheduled live shows/tours for the summer of 2022?
♤ We are itching to play live shows again. For now we have 3 dates, 1 in Germany and 2 in Czech Republic, in August and July.
Ostrava V Plamenech on July 29th
BA Festival on August 17th
Rock Castle Festival on August 19th
2. Phenomy come from Lebanon! What is the current situation of the metal scene in Lebanon and the Middle East? Which bands from the Middle East do you recommend us to check out.
♤ It's hard being a musician in Lebanon... It's even harder when metal is the music you love. Even though our government loves frowning over anything related to metal, the scene always finds a way to blow off some steam...

3. Syndicate of Pain is the title of your new album. Congratulations for this fantastic release! When and where was the album recorded and produced?
Being in the middle of an economic crisis and lockdown during the pandemic, the possibilities were very limited so we had to record and produce the album ourselves.
It was originally written by the end of 2020 but we rethought the whole project and wrote the conceptual theme and revisited the song and finalized it by the summer of 2021.
4.Syndicate of Pain is a concept album. Who wrote the lyrics and what is the album’s concept about?
The lyrics were written by Loïc. The album is about an asylum ran by an insane scientist running messed up experiments on his patients. Something I think everybody can relate to.
5. Syndicate of Pain has given some great videos so far. How do these video support the album’s concept?
♤ We try to tell a portion of the big story in every video... The visuals aren't just to accompany the music. We don't like to just feed people the information, but also they shouldn't look hard to see the story.
6. You have recorded some cover songs in the band’s career. What makes a cover successful in your opinion?
♤ The people that already know the song but don't know you, might like what you have to offer. At the same time you're playing music you like and appreciate but with your own spin on it.
7. Give us your all-time favorite albums Top-5 with a short description in each one of them.
♤ Metallica - master of puppets

♤ Pantera - vulgar display of power
♤ Ozzy Osbourne - no more tears

8. Who created the artwork for Syndicate of Pain?
The concept of the artwork was created by Loïc but finally designed and illustrated by the amazing Stephen Koidl.
9. What is your opinion on label vs self-released albums?
We’ve worked with a label before and we learned that we’d rather do it ourselves for now. There is much more freedom in it.
10. Syndicate of Pain is your third album already! How has the band progressed during all these years?
♤ Well we transformed from a few guys who like the play instruments to a full on band... We evolve as time goes on and I think you can see the difference between the albums.
11. What are your next plans for Phenomy?
♤ Grow it into a motherfucking empire of course
