ΩЯRΑ interview: "...there is some good left in this world that is worth fighting for, right?"

1) Hello guys! Congrats for your new lyric video “The Revenant”. Really refreshing sound! How are you?

Hi! Everything is fine for us, thanks! We have our debut album "Unbounded" that was out on April 14, so we are really excited about this.

2) Tell us a few words about the recordings of your new album "Unbounded" that was out on April 14. When and where? Are you happy about the first feedback?

Yes, “Unbounded” is our debut album and it is distributed digitally in every major platform through Distrokid. A physical, limited-edition release is scheduled later in 2022. We are happy and proud of this album. We believe a lot in this, and we think that there are many people out there that will share our enthusiasm. And judging by the first feedback they do, which is great.

3) How can you describe your sound?

We always try to combine different elements into our music. You know, when it comes to characterize a music style it is always tough, but we could say it is generally based in Rock. Now, in this album lies a combination of psychedelic elements, Progressive Rock, Metal, symphonic music, avant-garde, and ethnic elements etc.

4) Are there any plans for another full album in the near future?

Yes, we are working on that by trying some ideas, themes, writing new songs, lyrics. We are in the process. In the “zone”…

5) Any plans for live performances?

We are working on that, too. Our demands are high in terms of live performances. If the appropriate conditions are met, we will move in this direction as well.

6) Do you have any other musical projects, or you feel really dedicated about your band?

Yes, we do. They include classical as well as more experimental-electronic styles of Music. Minornoiser, our bass player also performs with various classical ensembles and orchestras as a contrabass player and Peter, our guitarist works as a Producer and film music composer. But now we are focused on ΩЯRΑ. This is always our main priority.

7) What do you enjoy most? Recordings or stage and why?

Performing on stage is really fun, especially when everything works well but I believe Recordings is always a more enjoyable process. It is all about creativity and when recording we have the chance to be artistically focused without any restrictions, while at the same time we can be true to ourselves.

8) What is your opinion about the whole situation in the world today? Are you happy?

These are difficult questions to answer because happiness can’t be really measured or defined, I think. If we consider happiness to be a state then it is something changeable, for sure, neither permanent nor momentary. Too many nowadays believe that ‘happiness can be another persons’ misery and most people are not living up to their true potential. But there is some good left in this world that is worth fighting for, right?

9) What are your future plans about the band? Are you going to keep a steady line up or you will follow the idea of a project?

We are already working on new ideas for a possible future release. We are also in the process of finding some additional members. But we are taking our time with this because it is a frustrating and difficult process. It started as a band-project combination, but the more you want to achieve artistically, the harder it is to find co-members. It takes a different mentality, commitment, and ability that it is hard to find nowadays.

10) Do you believe in God?

Yes, in general, but in a different manner. We don’t have anything in common with “defenders” of Religion, fanatics and those who make an extensive use of God’s name to justify violence, injustice, or their own decline.

11) Are you angry with prejudiced people judging your music?

In the old days we used to be ha-ha! But we came up to a point where we never question ourselves. Music is a big part of OUR lives, an extension of ourselves. You know that you would be judged when your Music or Art in general, finds a way out to reach more people and this the case. To share it, to pass it over. Now, there are some who may like your point of view and those who dislike it. We can’t change that. What we can do is be true to ourselves because there is always something more to achieve, a new goal to reach, a need to overcome(musically) yourself each time and negativity can’t be a part of this.

12) But we really like your work! The last words are yours…

Thank you for the support, guys! This is really great. Music never stops!
