After listening to the six titles from the new EP FOIVOS - "Distorted" you can understand that the creator has his own way of conveying what he wants to give to the audience. According to his CV, FOIVOS has been a guitarist for more than 20 years. His experience is reflected on this EP, as the guitar has the first role, but also the rest of the production is a solid foundation that allows the guitar to develop its ideas in an elaborate way.
The musical passages do not have a clear musical orientation. They can surprise you during all the length of the album and that makes the listener's ear to be ready to listen to almost everything in the passages that follow. On the other hand, FOIVOS shows that he knows how to keep balance and without exaggerating he gives a complete result. Perfect ideas that could easily be a part of a soundtrack in an action movie.
In addition to his five compositions, a pleasant surprise is the rendition of "Eleanor Rigby" by the mighty Beatles. A very interesting cover that would cause the interest of the composers themselves, if they were able to listen to it.
"Distorted" is without any doubt a very good EP. Rock / Metal fans will surely love it, but also even those who do not listen to these genres will find it very interesting.
