Who are Pressure I hear you ask? Well if you had to tag them with a genre, the one that fits best is a ‘melodic rock’ but they’re so much more than that. "They are pioneering what they are calling Story Metal, which is combining heavy metal with elements of melodic rock, with a lot of focus on vocals in way to convey a story within their songs. So as to get the listener drawn into their music like a reader would become engrossed into a book." as quoted by - First Angel Media.
Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden and with vocalist Olof Jönsson you can always guarantee soaring, athletic and committed vocals. Together with a twin guitar sound coming from songwriter and lead guitarist Simon “Siirpo” Forsell and Patrik Buhr on the other axe. Their work often focuses and embraces the pressures felt from everyday existence. Their lyrics ably demonstrating that there are two sides to every story - the good and the bad. Every song has a double meaning and we truly see music as a tool to handle the different pressures thrown at us from the modern world. The band began their journey together in 2018 then having Emil Salling on the second guitar. Since then they’ve worked tirelessly developing their sound and live performance. Their goal you ask? To make memories with their fans and to an epic musical soundtrack. A quote that can summarize their lyrics is:

Patrik Buhr is the newest guitarist in the Story Metal band Pressure. His early music endeavors began early in the Swedish music school, with the trumpet as an instrument. After a number of years, he decided the guitar was his future. While doing so, the interest was quite focused on early progressive rock and other things that was a bit hard at that time. Hard rock was not in the picture at all. After that came a period period of mainly keyboard playing, mostly because it was easier to compose music that way. The guitar was picked up again later and has been treated to a plethora of different musical projects. Over the years, it has turned more and more towards hard rock. If you want to mention guitarists who have meant a lot, you must probably mention the old heroes from childhood; Steve Hackett, Jeff Beck, Alan Holdsworth, Robert Fripp, Scott Henderson, David Gilmour and the list goes on and on. When it comes to guitars, it varies over time and also with the type of music involved. PRS is probably the brand most used. In the path of amplifiers, only Kemper is used, but deep down he prefers to play on ordinary tube amplifiers at subversive volumes. Simon Forsell of Pressure says - "Pressure grows a lot in strength, musical knowledge and passion as Patrik brings not only his exceptional guitar knowledge to the band - he also bring experience, power and soul!
