Canada’s progressive power gothic metal band Red Cain will be unleashing their new album “Kindred: Act II” digitally on Friday, January 22, 2021 with the CD physical release out via Sliptrick Records at a later date this year.

Described as a vehicle of “Melancholy and Rage” and born out of the emerging music scene of Calgary, AB, 2017 YYC Awards Metal Recording of the Year winner Red Cain is a power/progressive metal project with Russian roots. With intricate songwriting, a heavy yet melodic feel reminiscent of progressive acts, and elements of Slavic myth and Russian paganism in the storytelling tradition of the cult of Veles, Red Cain champion a fluid, dynamic, and unique musical style centered around telling dark, conceptual Faustian sagas and constructing those into an unforgettable live experience.
The forthcoming sophomore full-length continues and ends the band's storytelling of their Kindred saga, which began with their 2019's "Kindred: Act: 1". Offering a mix of melodies and metallic styles in power, progressive and goth metal, Red Cain continues to deliver epic adventurous songs with tracks like “Sunshine (Blood Sun Empire)”, “Demons”, “Kindred” and “Varyag and The Shrike”.
